Early Language Immersion Center Admissions

Baton Rouge International School provides our younger ones with a unique program in a warm and caring environment within a multilingual setting. Our program preserves the wonder of childhood by encouraging play, discoveries and experiences. Children are immersed in Spanish and French.

You can enroll your child in the following classes:

  • Infant Room
  • Transition Room
  • Toddler Room (1 year old)
  • 2-3 Year Olds’ Room (not potty trained)

Teacher ratios for each ELIC classroom are as follows:

  • Infants: 1 to 4
  • 1 year old: 1 to 5
  • 2 and 3 years old: 1 to 6

Age Requirements

In order to be eligible for entering ELIC, your child should be at least 6 weeks old. Once a child is potty trained and 2 years old before the 30th of September of the registering year, he/she will be transferred automatically into our PK program upon openings.

Admissions Process

The first step is to book a tour of our campus or attend an Open House event. Visiting our school allows us to become better acquainted with your family and gives you an opportunity to gain a deeper understanding of our ELIC curriculum.

Once you have decided that Baton Rouge International School is a great fit for your family, you can complete and submit an enrollment application online. Required documents such as a copy of the child’s birth certificate can be submitted with this application via upload.

A non-fundable application fee of $100 is due upon submission of an enrollment application. Once payment has been received, your completed application will be reviewed by our administrative team and an admissions decision will be communicated with you as soon as possible.

Your child will be officially enrolled in the Baton Rouge International School once you have received a written notification from BRIS Admissions. The notification will include next steps and a Welcome Packet of additional documents to be completed prior to the child’s first day on campus.

Contacting BRIS Admissions
